WHO: Uhura and Spock! Closed. LOCATION: Library. WEEK: 53 TIME: Sunday, after the event is over. WHAT: Study time! RATING: Dude, it's Uhura. And Spock. G.
Spock was uncertain as to what it was that had prompted him to suggest this study session between himself and Nyota. He was no closer now than he had been weeks ago to knowing his own thoughts on the matter of their relationship in the alternate universe, logical or otherwise. Let alone his...feelings.
His eyes flicked to the door again, barely visible from the table the two usually made use of. Spotting Nyota, his hand paused briefly in the act of turning a page in the text he had been reading, before smoothly continuing the motion as she approached.
"Hey there," she said, giving him her usual smile, the one only he and a few others ever saw. She may have been confused, but he was still her friend, her best friend, her confusion wouldn't change that.
"How is your project going? Learn anything particularly interesting about the human condition lately?"
Spock didn't smile back - he was still Spock, after all - but there was perhaps a faint softening of he countenance when faced with her own expression.
"Fairly well. The difficulty is less with the theory, and more in applying it to practical, every day situations." His eyebrows twitched slightly, a frown on anyone else. "It lies primarily, it would seem, in the failure of individuals to conform to any one general standard."
Nyota laughed a little. "Humans are endlessly frustrating like that. I had a feeling you'd encounter that particular problem when trying to apply theory to practice. I can try to help you decipher anything you find really confusing, though I'm not sure any one human can claim expert status."

"Nyota," he greeted, inclining his head.

Yes, he had taken her question rather literally.
