Hades moved his chess pieces around aimlessly, the cigar in his mouth burning down and getting ash on the board as he devised new strategies, just waiting for one of the adorable little cretins to show up and challenge him.

"Funny, if I wanted to see an eyesoar you'd think I'd send out invitations," Hades said with a dark scowl, his peaceful evening of watching people play a deceivingly quiet came coming to an abrupt halt at the arrival of Szayel. "They can be on Fireball Fuschia paper, for the irony."

He sat up straighter, his lips curling into a nseer, "And I never imagined you intelligent enough to find the right room for it, let alone know the names to all the tiny little pieces," he smirked, "Don't worry kid, I'll make sure they all have nametags for you, in big lettering, even, for your four eyes."

"¡Ah, mi querido idiota," Szayel murmured, stepping to the side slightly. Of course, one of the pockets of his robe was weighed heavily with his own custom carved chess set, though he had not really come with the intention of playing. Tormenting Hades was much more enjoyable than stomping on insignificant specks that thought they could play chess.

"Really, you must be completely lacking in thought if you cannot even respond to my presence with an adequate retort," he continued, returning to English. "I'm truly disappointed."

Mitani still preferred Go.

However, chess was reasonably entertaining, and it wasn't like he had anything else to do, so what the hell.

He entered the room and sat down in an empty seat. He didn't bother greeting anyone else in the room- he wasn't here for pleasantries, he was here to play.

This was a shock, the chess club was actually holding a meeting. After the fiasco in class, Ciel had half a mind to skip this whole thing. He was not in the mood to see Hades, however he was adept at ignoring such things. That and the combination of mild curiosity had brought him here.

Taking a moment to view the matches written on the board, he paused before joining any himself.
