“If there was, it wasn’t in the last 7 years I’ve been here,” Ren sighed, exhaling a breath of smoke as he laid down beside her on his back. He didn’t have much of a problem with the cold from growing up in a part of Japan that snowed 6 months of the year so being out here in this weather was rather relaxing to him. Cigarette help between his lips, he knew Catty wasn’t fond of the smoke but, they were outside and Ren made sure to be downwind. Although ideally, the best option was to not smoke at all but, that was hard. “But it’s strange to have a bunch of small spells happen in a short amount of time.”

"I'm sure that it was probably during the founding years. Over a thousand years ago," Catty murmured, pulling her knee in closer to her body so that she could rest her elbow on it. The smoke didn't bother her as much as it had before. She just accepted it as part of Ren and moved on. Although he'd be a lot healthier if he did quit. "I heard it was the ghosts that set up the pit traps, though. And the songs are because of those fwoopers." And she was so very happy that her only problem this week had been falling into a hole with her roommates.

"Maybe it's just a sign of the times. Or the Headmaster has gotten even more lax about what goes on around here."

“One of those founders must have cursed the place,” he laughed a bit, taking the cigarette from his lips and tapping the ashes off at his side. Healthy was definitely one word that didn’t describe him in the least. “The ghosts pulling pranks does tend to happen but, how can they dig a hole?” That didn’t make a lot of sense but, then again most of the ghosts were pokemon so, they’re a very strange brand of creature. Fwoopers kind of interested him a bit. Did somewhat explain why everyone was singing and dancing. Song that leads to insanity and, randomly bursting into song and dance did rack pretty high on insane.

“On the bright side, they don’t seem to last as long,” Ren shrugged, “Although I don’t think the singing will end until the fwoopers leave the forest.”

Catty snorted, thinking it over. "Hey, it wouldn't surprise me. I mean, in the end, didn't they all hate each other or something? I think that if something made me start hating my best friend, I'd curse it, too." She frowned, turning her head to look down at him. "Hey, the pokemon are clever, because I fell into one of those holes." It didn't matter how it happened, just that it had, and the explanation for things that seemed unexplainable was simple enough. This was Hogwarts.

"The singing is cute. Harry and Kazumi finally confessed their feelings." She smiled at that. It was about time, and she was genuinely happy for her friend. However, she just hoped this would keep the two on track and not allow Harry to retreat. "And this whole thing is pretty entertaining. I like being able to watch and not participate."
