Shigure made his way quickly to the Great Hall. He didn't want Akito to be waiting too long for him, especially if she was so young.
However, he slowed his pace down as he reached the entrance to the room. Akito was young now, and he wasn't under this spell...how exactly was he going to explain this to her?
He sighed. Well, it was too late now! He walked in and looked around for the young child. When he saw her, he smiled and walked over to her.
He was there. Akito smiled as she scrambled to her feet, but the smile quickly dissolved as she realized that he did not quite match her memories. Or dressed like Hatori had been. This was Shigure, right? He knew her name, and that she'd been waiting for her, so he must have been the Shigure she'd been talking to. And. . .he felt like Shigure did. Just like Shigure.
The zodiac didn't lie, right? It. . .wouldn't, right?
"You look different." She pouted, her voice suspicious and cold.
He put his hands up in a mock surrender. "I know, I know," he said with a chuckle. "But I'm afraid I was having a little too much fun in my Potions class."
He knelt in front of her, keeping his hands up. He had almost forgotten how adorable she was as a child. He had to admit, this was refreshing to see. "I promise it's still me, though."
She nodded, reaching out to wrap her fingers around the fingers of one of his hands, "I'm hungry."
That had, after all, been what she was doing before she'd seen Shigure's writing appear in her journal- she assumed it was her journal, it had her name in it, so it must have been hers.
