It was one of the rare times Mia could be seen outside. Normally she kept herself inside now that she was considered the Ravenclaw Ghost, but today she'd decided to forgo that title. It was still weird to hear students refer to her as one of the House Ghosts and so she wanted a break from it. She missed being able to walk freely, like a student or a teacher, or anyone else who was actually alive.
Mia strode straight through one of the walls as the students and staff were finishing their morning meal and headed for the grounds before anyone could see her. She had yet to even see her sister here, which was slightly odd. She wasn't sure if Maya was even aware that she was here.
The ghost's eyes wandered around as she walked. It was just as easy to walk as float around now that she could, but there was something relaxing about doing some of the things she'd done as a living person; one of those things was the act of walking. She wasn't even thinking about it... she was just doing itHer eyes landed on a figure in front of her then and

Toph had spent the previous night tossing and turning in bed, unable to sleep. When she finally got tired of trying to do so, she hopped our of bed, changed into her uniform, and headed outside. It was still very early, so the grass was very cold and damp under Toph's bare feet. Walking the grounds, she could feel that someone was already up and about. 'It must be the gamekeeper,' she thought.
She was surprised to hear a woman's voice. By the way the gamekeeper walked, she could have sworn it was a man. She could also tell that the voice wasn't directed at her, but someone else. The only thing she could think of was that the woman was on a broomstick, but why would anyone be out flying so early? Toph walked up to where the supposed man was standing to investigate.
Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no. This is a bad situation. Ghosts are just like people, except more see-through and floaty, but still just as difficult for poor Quasimodo to have a conversation with.
Just as he was beginning to stammer out a feeble "I-it", the situation got much, much worse. An alive person walked up. Quasi tried to think up an effective, yet not exceedingly rude, means of escape, but ended up just standing there with his mouth half open.
Mia waited for a reply for a little, though she was glancing around to be sure she wasn't staring at him. Thus, she spotted what appeared to be a young Gryffindor approaching. Mia waved, wondering why she hadn't spoken yet.
"Nice day, isn't it?" she called out again, waiting for someone to answer.
