Chao nearly fell back down the stairs, caught completely off guard by the sudden appearance of the dark-skinned girl waiting for her. What was anyone doing up this hour? Well okay, she was obviously, but it was rare to see other students awake so early in the morning. Whatever the reason, it certainly shook her up mind out of exhaustion and into some kind of gear.

"I'm sorry?" She asked back, her voice low enough not to wake their doormates. God knows Chao wanted more people in on her case.

Integra wasn't about to let Chao through until they'd hashed this out. "This isn't the first time you've come waltzing in here at this hour. Explain yourself." Her tone was demanding, as if she had some real authority over the other girl, when obviously, she did not.

Now the surprise had finally gone and past, Chao got a clearer view of her classmate. It was a little horrible that she didn't know Integra all too well, even when her dorm mate had been around almost as long as Chao has. Maybe it was because they kept to themselves all this time, but it was obvious Integra was about to change that.

The Chinese girl rubbed the back of her head and smiled sheepishly. "Ah, sorry if I woke you up. I got a little too caught up in my studies in the library."

Chao mentally winced at the partial lie. She wasn't all too fond of doing it, but it was far too late and was caught too off-guard to make up a good honest excuse.
