For Harry, the act of unloading his threadbare bag of every book he needed to study was handled with all the solemness and despondence of a man laying out the tools of his own execution.

He'd been here for months, and yet despite all the extra help he'd been getting, the long hours of studying he'd forced himself to endure, and the volumes of class notes he'd taken, it still felt like he had been thrown into the deepest part of the ocean without having been taught to swim.

"Advantages of homeschooling my butt," he muttered.

"You look about as thrilled as I am about this." Kyon said as he sat across from Harry, dropping his bag quietly on the table. He pulled out his Potions textbook first and some parchment, frowning at them.

He sat them in front of him at the table and then stared at them.

"...Am I done school yet?"

Harry gave a lazy wave to Kyon without looking away from his book. "Oh yes, I love trying to find a way to compress the knowledge of countless magical experts into my poor abused brain for the privileged of being allowed to do it again next year."

Blinking up finally, Harry shrugged with a tired smirk. "Not unless you know some special time magic the rest of us don't. In which case I can think of better uses for it."

"See I don't know why I have to learn what these experts know. If they already know then what's the point of me knowing?" Kyon sighed and ruffled his hair. "Yeah. Exams. So much fun, I'd rather poke my eyes out with my wand."

He rested his chin on his hand. "Nope, no special magic. Nothing special about me at all."

To Seras the library was a sanctuary compared to the usually loud Gryffindor Common Room. If there was any place she spent the most, it was here. Anyone who knew this would not be surprised at all to look and find the seventh year at a table surrounded by a sea of books. Because of her year as well as her chosen field, Seras always had a lot of homework to do.

"Why did I want to be an auror again...?" she asked herself quietly, unaware that anyone would be near. She crossed out several lines of writing on her parchment, "I guess I never thought it would be so much work. I still want to do it, though...."

Renji was a bit wary of returning to the library. The last time he'd been in here it had exploded (which goes to show you just how often he WENT to the library). Still, given his own career fields, he knew he had to return here when it came time to study for exams.

He almost didn't notice Seras behind all the books, not until he happened to glance back by chance. When he noticed who it was he turned back to the table and pulled up a chair, "Hey Seras!" His whisper was a little louder than was probably approved of in the library. "How's the studying coming," he asked, he had similar classes and career goals, so he was curious to see how Seras was doing.

Between talking to herself and shuffling through her books to find what she needed for her paper, Seres neither saw or heard Renji's approach. The sudden voice startled her, causing her to jump and knock several books and ink off the table.

Glancing up as she retrieved them, she smiled sheepishly up at Renji. "S-sorry, you startled me," she admitted. She wasn't used to being addressed when she set up camp to study alone in the library. It was also quite a shock to see her house mate actually step foot in. Renji hardly came across as the studying type.

"It's going..." she looked around at her mess of books, sighed and smiled. "It's going okay. I never expected to end up with so much work this year."

It was hard not to wince when Seras jumped and sent her supplies scattering. Renji moved to help her pick it up, even though Seras got most of it before he could. "Oh...sorry...didn't mean to."

He noticed some of the ink had spilled and pulled out his wand. He wasn't very good at cleaning charms but he could probably do enough to fix the ink. He muttered the incantation a little hesitantly and a few bubbles drifted out of his wand, landing on the ink spill. "Huh...that's not right," he growled. Renji shook his wand a few times before trying again. This time the ink was cleaned up (although there was still a dark smudge where it had been).

"Yeah, same here. Seventh year's been hard...but I'm hoping it will be worth it."

Bak had already been in the library all day, he was uncertain whether or not he wanted to leave. The area was getting crowded, and though it was good to see his fellow students studying, the wave of new people brought upon extra noise.

Clicking.

Scooting.

Rustling....

Bah! That was it! The male stood up quickly gathering his papers, the noise was too much to handle. That and he was getting hungry anyway. But something had caught his attention before he actually decided to leave for good. Was that...? It couldn't be.

"...Ridiculous..." He muttered under his breath, with a slightly annoyed tone, as he dropped his papers and bag back onto the table to sit down.

Undine scowled deeply as she entered the library, eyes scanning the tables for somewhere relatively empty to work. She HATED other people around when she was doing her homework, since some subjects typically took a lot of effort for her to finish and she hated to idea of someone watching her as she failed to complete an arithmancy problem

Her stare landed on one of the few relatively empty tables. The only one there seemed to be a blond boy wearing a stupid looking hat. She smirked, stomping over to the table and immediately pulling out a chair and plopping down on it.

"You're telling me," she snorted, pulling out her homework, "I'm sitting here, get used to it," she addressed while pulling out an herbology text.

For James Kirk to be in the library usually meant one of two things:

First of all: he was chasing a girl. If she was a Ravenclaw this would be the place to find her, and if she wasn't Jim would be here helping her to 'study'. This happened semi-frequently, and the librarian had probably taken to glaring at him whenever he walked in the door out of sheer frustration with him.

The second meant that he was really, really bored and couldn't find anyone to keep him entertained. Breaking into the restricted section had long since proved to be a challenge, and some of the books there were even mildly interesting. This happened every once in a while, so the sight of Jim flipping listlessly through a book probably wasn't too shocking ( ... )

...combined with the unicorn hair and Aconite shards provide the base charm for the enchant-

Hearing a familiar voice Jim grinned charmingly up at the girl, making sure to keep his thumb in the book so as not to lose his page. He hadn't noticed her arrive, but Galatea had probably meant it that way. He shrugged innocently at the question, "Hitting my problems over the head with a big club just doesn't seem to be working like it used to."

Naturally, now that you're here.

Raziel was beginning to believe that he was quiet lost. Rows upon rows of books looked back at him. Perhaps he had taken the wrong staircase again? Seeing as his closet most certainly did not have this many shelving units.

He looked around with shifty eyes, slowly inching towards a book shelf. Carefully, as if he were handling a case of lit exploding snaps, Raziel took the tips of his fingers and eased a book out of the shelf. The text flew off the ledge, hitting the ground before levitating, circling around Raziel's head like an angry pigeon, and dashing off towards the biographies where it would remain undisturbed by stupid students.

Raziel's eyes widened when he saw a sliver of empty space that the book had left, bending down and staring through the gap. He saw another row of books beyond that and his mouth dropped open.

"ANOTHER DIMENSION!" He proclaimed, like a mad scientist screaming out EUREKA!

Hearing the thump of the flying book hit the floor, Flora looked up from where she was searching which was not to far from the slow learning student. She was unsure of who it was at first until hearing the exclamation about new dimensions.

Her eyes slightly narrowed, but only enough to give the idea that she was puzzled by Raziel's actions and words. No big surprise there. Lightly tucking a book under her arm, Flora finally spoke in her usual monotone voice though this time there was a slight hint of bother to it.

"It is slightly a surprise to see you here as well."

"It is!" Raziel agreed with an all-knowing nod, he was quite surprised to be surprised by her surprisal, therefore it made perfect sense in his mind--in a horrendously circular manner. But that was alright. Raziel enjoyed circles. All the best foods came in circle shapes. Like donuts. Or candies. Or cookies. Or pie.

Pie was delicious.

Even better was cherry pie. Tiny circles were in a larger circle.

He blinked. Food was a very deep and philosophical matter occasionally.

"Hello Flora, you are looking very shiny today," he said sweetly.

It was usually at times like this the silver eyed female was able to guess what the boy might have been thinking...maybe. At least a vague idea, even if the thought was completely off the radar. But this time she was at a loss.

Her eyes remained in their usual narrow position, Flora was stumped on how to respond to Raziel's strange compliments...if you could call them that.

"Hello Raziel..." She eyed the empty space of the bookshelf in which he peaked through and declared a new dimension, choosing to discount his shiny comment for now. "I would suspect you are looking for a book to study with?"
