Catty generally disliked the dungeons. It was too dark, too quiet, and there seemed to be a permanent chill within the halls down here. Still, the new Potions professor had assigned a paper to be done while they were on their little break, and she was having a difficult time with it. So here she was, walking down the halls, her footsteps echoing as she decided to go ahead and seek Professor Jones out for a little bit of help, or even just a nudge in the right direction.

She would have walked right past the dark lump on the ground, too, if she hadn't caught the slight flutter of movement. Stopping in her tracks, Catty stared down at it, hearing the soft cries now. Frowning, she crouched down next to the lump, not even thinking about how, around here, one shouldn't be poking at things that seemed to be unknown. But that's what she did. She poked at whoever, or whatever, the thing was gently. "Hey, are you okay...?"

She was in her own thoughts until she felt a light prod at her head and she ceased movement. Who was that? She didn’t recognise the voice at all. Her hand slowly creeped out from underneath the curtain as she lifted herself into a sitting position. She didn’t raise the hood on her face that much, in case whoever this person was happened to be another dazzling creature.

“It’s nothing,” she sighed, there weren’t many other creatures of darkness that could understand how she felt so, why bother trying to gain sympathy?

Catty waited in her position as the person sat up, one corner of her mouth lifting up in a small and confused smile. So, it was a girl, she realized when the strange lump responded to her. That wasn't actually the answer she had been looking for, but she could work with it.

Tilting her head, she tried to see the girl still hiding underneath of the curtain. "It doesn't really sound like nothing. Crying is usually a tell-tale sign that something is wrong," she said softly, her natural instinct to be worried for other people kicking in.

Sunako remained quiet at the girls prodding for answers. Should she tell her? What were the chances she’d understand? The Potions professor obviously didn’t understand that Sunako enjoyed the darkness that the storeroom had provided. The space, the privacy. Everything was pretty much ideal for Sunako and, she even kept it very tidy during her stay there.

And that’s when Sunako spilled her guts. “My sanctuary is gone! I don’t have an idea what to do, I don’t want to go back to the dorm, there’s no where for me to keep Hiroshi and Akira and Josephine and George and it was the only place for me to hide from all the creatures of light! I’m gonna melt at this rate! Melt away from the radiance!” And she flopped over again, deep breaths panting as she finally said it all.
