As what?
Her eyes popped open, and the low lights actually hurt them as she winced and let her lids fall shut. Slowly, it all came back to her. Belladonna. Her and Harry...
A jolt of fear ran through her already aching body, chilling her. Why had she been so fucking stupid? And where was she now? Slowly, Catty sat up, wincing and hissing. Looked like the hospital. Crowded and loud, people rushing back and forth. Belladonna, the library exploding... God, had she and Harry actually tried to fight that creature? ... Not so much her. She had been caught, again. It was all her fault ( ... )

The dark-haired teen closed his eyes once more, willing the pain away while composing his thoughts. To start, the only image he could come up with was … tentacle spiders? What, no… Dark tendrils. Grasping. Twisting. Breaking. Draining. Then came the … but how? Frowning, he delved deeper. There had been a commotion. He was making his way through the hallways… to the Great Hall- no, the library. And then… that bitch of a ghost. Uncle Iroh. Right. He had come across them. Again his eyes fluttered open. “Uncle!” he breathed, but was only welcomed by the sight of another student, or rather, victim.Zuko noticed the girl just in time for her to cover her head. That girl who wrote him in his rather distraught ( ... )

At the mention of the bitch witch, her stomach lurched again. She was still afraid. She squeezed her eyes shut.
Her voice felt raw when she finally decided to talk. "I'm not hiding," she spat defensively.
Catty knew she was lying, but hey, how do you explain that you're hiding from the people who care about you because you don't want them to judge you for being so incapable? For looking as awful as she did?

Perhaps she wasn’t hiding from the Widow herself, but he had a fairly good idea what the reason behind her timidity was. And what a superficial reason it was. Hiding her maimed appearance? Covering what was hardly more than a temporary blemish? And for what? It wasn’t like she was the only one injured in this event.
With a grunt he rolled onto his back once more before letting out an exasperated sigh. “Was that Belladonna’s handiwork? … I see she decided to give you a makeover.”
It may not have been the most tactful of comments, but at this point Zuko was in no mood to work on his sensitivity issues. Particularly in regards to someone lamenting about their looks.

She didn't know if they would let her in to see Sasuke yet, and to be honest she was a little afraid of asking in case the answer was 'no'. She had other friends in the hospital wing, though (and that thought made her blanch a little at just how many of them she'd seen carried in), one in particular who she really wanted to talk to.
Sakura had memorised the beds that each of them were in, and so it was pretty easy to find Catty.
"Hey," she said lightly, trying and even succeeding a little to hide the tiredness in her voice. It wasn't exhaustion, not yet, but it was getting there. "How're you doing?"

When Sakura came by, Catty was awake. She offered a weak smile and sat up. It was a lot easier this time around, with hardly in aching pain. She, however, didn't even attempt to cover up the exhaustion in her voice. "I think this was one of my favorite school functions..." She joked.

Catty was a mess. In fact, that may have been an understatement. There may have been students worse injured than she was, but Catty looked it. Possibly because no one had even cleaned the blood off her properly yet.
She drew her wand from safe-keeping being her ear and thanked god once again that it was her left arm that had gotten messed up, not her wand arm. "Here, let me clean you up a little. You have to feel pretty gross like that."
Reply
Catty knew that she looked like a mess. And unless you called her crying non-stop for a little as a "clean up", she was still covered in blood. Her blood, to be correct. She stared at Sakura blankly. "I'm trying to pretend I don't look like this. Trying to not be... Insecure about my looks." She said the last bit with muted irritation. Damn Zuko...
She waited a few seconds longer before asking, "What happened in the library after...?" She didn't want to say, After I ran off. Sakura would know what she was talking about.

After he'd had a minute or two to get his sluggish thoughts together into something resembling coherence, he recalled that it had really been the other way around.
Harry debated getting up to look around for a moment, but his body summarily rejected that idea. The fact that he wasn't covered in rubble meant he had probably been found and taken to the infirmary. Or he was dead, and the afterlife's ceiling looked disturbingly like the infirmary's. At this point he wasn't sure he could really prefer one option over the other.
Still, one thought did run through his mind at that moment. He was an idiot. Of course, that thought was soon followed by others, and snapping his eyes open Harry shot up in bed, and promptly fell back as his vision went white with agony. "Hell's fucking bells...Catty ( ... )

"Harry - Harry!" She hurried over to him. "Harry, Catty's fine. She's here in the Hospital Wing, I just talked to her, now lie the hell back down before I make you."

"Is she okay? That bitch grabbed her, and I couldn't do anything."

She breathed a sigh of relief as he actually listened to her and slumped backwards. "She's - well she's hurt, but pretty much everyone who went up against Ghost Widow is. She'll be fine, I promise. She woke up before you did, even."

She glared at her arm, the hand across her stomach going to pick lazily at the bindings, "Idiot," she reprimanded at herself.

It was relieving to see her in one piece. He'd tried not to worry about her too much; after all, Jaina was one of the most capable witches in the school.
"Kind of, yeah," Coming up beside her, Jim gave his housemate a teasing grin, trying to keep his look or voice from showing just how relieved he really was that she was alright. "Anyone else would have made them give you a bed near the door so your charming Quidditch Captain could find you easily and help you escape~"

She shifted turning to face him and trying not to wince. Her back still hurt from that chunk of ceiling that had fallen on her, "Charming Quidditch Captain?" She repeated with an amused tone, "Well, the offer is appreciated, but I don't think I'm going anywhere," she sagged against the pillows, "Both of the new nurses are...intense."
She was quiet for a minute, staring at her arm. She looked back up again, "So, Charming Quidditch Captain, what brings you around here? Get hit in the head?" She asked lightly.
Reply
"And handsome~" Jim added with a laugh, trying to figure out if that had been a wince of pain that had flashed across her face. "Tell me about it. But I doubt the old psycopath would have been any easier on you."
The truth was, he'd thought Jaina probably would need cheering up. She was hard on herself at the best of times, and after getting injured by Ghost Widow he didn't want to leave her to just sit and beat herself up about it.
But there was no need for Jaina to know that.
"I thought I might get that hot new nurse to give me a check-up; you know, make sure I was a healthy young man," he paused and looked around the bustling room. "Seems like I wasn't the only one~"

He shifted in the hospital bed they'd made him get into. It was obvious that they were in desperate need of space, and he was feeling much better- there were certainly people who were more in need of a bed than he was. He frowned guiltily. He didn't belong here, not at all.
Al sat up, intent on letting someone else have his space. Someone had to keep his brother to stay put, after all.

She was nearing a numbness of more than just her arm that suggested she should probably knock herself out with some Dreamless Sleep soon. After all, she didn't want to collapse like Delita had and bother someone to pick her up. At the same time--
She didn't really want to stop.

Al paused, taking in Sakura's appearance. "Are you alright? Maybe you should sit down for a minute."

"You leave the bed when one of the nurses say you leave the bed, Al," she sighed. "If they needed it, they'd let you know." Sakura had spent enough time around both the nurses that day to know that, if nothing else, they were incredibly efficient.
She blinked, then waved a hand as if she were waving her worries away. "Me? No, no, I'm fine. It looks worse than it is, the arm's healed and the burns don't hurt. You, on the other hand, broke I don't know how many ribs. You need to stay in bed." Sakura had checked out his file the moment she'd heard he was in the Hospital Wing and not in the Great Hall as she'd hoped. She ignored the fact that she'd had her own rib injuries earlier, and hoped that he wouldn't notice that if her arm was healed, why was it still in a sling?
