Sakura tripped into the hall, smiling properly for what felt like the first time that week. She laughed as Ino caught her arm. "Thanks!"

Looking around the Great Hall, she spotted Axel. "Axel!" she called. "Hi!"

She followed Sakura as she strolled towards Axel and drew her wand. This was going to be awesome.

"Hello ladies~!" Axel greeted grinning at the both of them from where he was messing with a charm. "Check this out! Arcesso Carmen!" He flicked his wand just as Professor Rangiku had instructed- instantly a muggle-style jukebox appeared blasting some bass heavy beat. "Desino Carmen." And just like that it was gone.

"Cool right?"

Naruto ran into the room, grinning from ear to ear. He couldn't believe his eyes at how much the room had changed!

There wasn't anyone else there at the moment but he was sure he was going to be surprised! He wasn't wearing anything special - this was a party, not a dance ball or something, so he wasn't expecting anything special. He grinned, and waited in the corner for something - or someone else - to come in.

Sasuke walked in. Naruto had gotten there first, oh great. "How's the party?" He smirked. "The idea is to show up after everybody else has already arrived."

Naruto was actually pretty happy, for once, to see the teme. Much as he'd hated to admit it, Sasuke was right - it'd been kinda dull.

There was rustling and voices coming through the wall from another room, and Naruto scowled at Sasuke.

"Not bad! Could be better though!" He paused, then - "What're you doing here then?"

He grinned. Finally, beat that, Sasuke!

Toph really should have been getting ready for her duel with Professor Howl that was taking place the next day, but she really wanted to check out the party. The foam was a bit annoying. She couldn't feel it with her feet and kept walking to large clusters of it. She did her best to get out of the stuff and walked straight to the food table.

Grabbing a small plate, she piled it high with large samples of everything that was there. She liked food a lot. Who didn't? Sitting down to enjoy her samples, she smiled as she people watched with her feet.

Aang had bounded into the main hall with all the energy of a kid strung out on sugar. Now, he would have made an immediate dash to dive into the foam if it weren't for the fact that he spotted a familiar face by the food table.

"TOPH!" He smiled wide and went bounding off in her direction. Of course it would be his luck to catch his foot on a nice helping of foam and consequently skid and slide all the way across the hall until he crashed rather comically right next to Toph.

Toph laughed at Aang's rather clumsy entrance. "Nice one Twinkletoes." Now that Aang was here, she held out her plate, which was still piled with food. "Want some?"

Toph liked Aang. He was funny.

Naruto stumbled out the door in the direction of the bathroom, Makoto supporting him.

"Neh, Makoto, if you didn't hear me before..."

They passed out of the hall, and the music volume instantly vanished.

"Thank you for everything you've done..."

Makoto carefully guided him along, catching a glimpse of the kissing going on as she passed. A faint sigh escaped her lips as she moved out of the party room and into the hall. The ability to hear was welcome, even if she hadn't been inside the party too long.

"Ah, don't mention it," she replied. "We're housemates, and I'm a prefect now. I've got to take care of you guys, even if we're different years."

Though, prefect or not, it was her nature to protect others.

Naruto didn't think he'd thanked her enough as he relied on her more and more as they got closer to the bathroom.

He just kept murmuring thanks right up until he walked straight into the closed bathroom door.

Or what would have been the closed bathroom door if he'd hadn't steered about two feet to the left.
