As soon as Barry received the last message from Kururu, he slammed his journal shut and tossed it onto his bed. He started to head out, but then took a moment to actually properly set it somewhere else, lest he run the risk of losing it again. He didn't want that to happen again! He missed out on too much without it!
Which was pretty obvious considering that he was actually going out to talk to this girl about what he'd missed in the first place.
Once he was sure everything was taken care of, Barry headed out of Gryffindor tower and down to where Kururu had asked to meet him. Naturally, he was running, so once he reached the big tree, his momentum nearly caused him to slam right into it, but he managed to flail and catch himself with his arms right in the nick of time.
He paused, taking a few deep breaths, looking around for any sign of the Hufflepuff girl. This was the right 'big tree', wasn't it?

Kururu jolting back into reality as soon as Barry came closer. She looked around turning her head everything which way, looking almost like a bobble head. Oh! There he was. She waved are arm up in the air to signal the younger boy.
"O-Over here!"
With that she then gestured her hand for him to sit down on the grass so she would do the same. "A seat here please."
