Though he wasn't the epitome of an 'ideal' student Luke liked to come to the library and gather books for his classes that had important spells in them. If he practiced and impressed whoever he needed to enough, maybe they'd send him home without having to stay in the stupid school for much longer. There wasn't much else to do besides the occasional strange appearances of potions like..Vera..whatever, anyway.

From what Luke had seen the library was usually littered with sparse individuals not quite focused on what they were in the library for--some people would be talking to others while some would just be roaming around for books. It made Luke a little curious when he saw someone studying as intently as Delita. '..Huh.' Maybe it was some really powerful collection of spells.

The redhead didn't quite understand the concept of being quiet in a library either, because he strolled right up to the student and asked in a normal tone of voice, "Hey, what's that you're reading?" Must've been something important if he was concentrating ( ... )

...Well. There went his quiet. Unfortunate, because he truly would have loved to study some more--at least enough to get the fuzz of a sleep deprived stupor out of his previous day's notes. He had managed to go through an all-nighter and finish a rather pesky assignment early, but the day's classes had been a nightmare, filled with small typos in his notes and slight misinformation that it drove him near-mad ( ... )

"Ugh. Isn't that the class where they make you eat all that obnoxious stuff like lizard tails or whatever?" One of the class he wanted to stay very far away from.

But still, What was the point of doing something revising notes for it? Sounded like what someone would do if they were really bored and had nothing else to occupy them. ...Okay so he, himself, was in the library staving off being unentertained, So Luke guess he understood, in a way. "You must really like potions if you're putting in all that effort."

"Yes, the very same." Delita said evenly. Obviously he was not one for potions, whoever this boy was. Delita had to admit, if he hadn't had the luxury of falling in love with the curriculum in his second year, he probably would have felt the same way as he.

Though, truthfully, he felt that way about Divination and herbology. But courses needed to be taken with much care, and needed to be passed at all costs.

He had a reputation to garner, after all. That and something to prove.

Still, this young man didn't seem as if he was the most studious of people...an average student at best, staving off boredom the best he could. A normal young man, maybe.

"It is a class I am fond of, though not my favorite." He said, glancing over his notes a moment before turning back to him. "It's simply that I had erred in my notes the day before, and when there is error, correction is necessary."

Jaina sighed heavily as she entered the library, several scrolls of parchment tucked under her arms and a frazzled look on her face. Trying to maintain decent marks was taking its toll on the seventh year, but all she had to do was keep reminding herself that she was almost done and the load became a little lighter.

Figuratively, that is. The scrolls were still rather heavy for scrolls as she took a seat at an unoccupied table, and it was with a grim resolution that she unrolled one and began to work on a Transfiguration assignment.

Transfiguration. She felt herself grab handfuls of dark hair as she stared at the words. She hated Transfiguration ( ... )

Delita didn't know he was being spoken to at first. This was an odd thing, truly; it wasn't as if he was unknown to social communication--no, in fact he had been stuck to using it often enough in his previous years, and he did have a friend. His only friend, perhaps...

He craned his neck to look at her, keeping eye contact as that was the polite thing to do.

"Potions notes." he said. Truthfully, this small talk was just a waste of time (and he simply wasn't very skilled at it. Over time, he surely would gain expertise, but for now, it was almost as a foreign language to him...more difficult than Runes had ever been), but as they said, small distractions cleared the mind, and allowed for further, greater insight once returned to their previous task.

"And you?"

Jaina leaned back in her chair, folding her arms behind her head. The one who answered didn't seem to be overly friendly, but she had dealt with more than her fair share of unfriendly people during the seven years she'd been in Slytherin.

She gave her famous lopsided grin, "Potions, huh? Want to trade and do my Transfiguration essay instead?"

Delita's interest piqued at the mention of 'transfigurations'. It wasn't his favorite class, but it was something else.

"I have no wish to trade," he said, "But I admit I am curious of the nature of this essay of yours."

Damn it. Stupid dialect. If he could cut out his tongue and replace it with one less...regal, then he would do so. In a heartbeat.

He might have been a Hufflepuff, but that didn't exclude him from using the library frequently. Entering the quiet settings, Touya wound in and out of the shelves, revelling in the silence.

There was a familiar form hunched over a desk to the side of where he paused, and Touya breathed in, slowly so as not to disturb the silence.

"Hello," he said.

Delita looked up, a page of notes finally complete. Edits had been done to his half-tired scrawl, and, truly, it was unfortunate that he had ended up being overtaken by lack of sleep that day. But at the very least, it was a good opportunity for review.

"Hello." He said in a hushed tone. It was the library, after all--it wouldn't due to raise his voice.

This was the third distraction today. Interesting.

At the very least, his notes were still getting done, and after the next two pages, he would have very little to do.

"Um," Touya said, as calmly as he could, "What are you reviewing?"

Potions were finished, and now it was in Ancient Runes--a class he had a deep affection for. Even when he was a boy, still innocent to the ways of the world, he had loved that class for some reason...the mystery of it, perhaps.

Secret messages...the things that young boys would often daydream of.

"Ancient runes." Delita replied. "And you?"
