Maes has found his first page completely by accident. He wasn't sure how it had gotten mixed among his papers but he knew as soon as he saw it that it was from a very old book and chances were high that if there was a page among his things there would be more around the school. Maes stared at the page for a moment, trying to guess what the book's subject might be about and how many pages could be missing
( ... )
Sunako was about to toss the paper aside but, before the thought had even crossed her mind, someone called out and caused her to turn around. She recognized the professor. He taught journalism, a class she wouldn't get close to even with a ten foot pole.
She had a very distinct dislike of cameras and having her picture taken. Her face wasn't meant to be seen.
"Yeah?" She asked, noticing the old looking book he was carrying but not saying anything about it.
Maes probably could have argued with her awhile about journalism and how her face was perfectly fine for the camera (or better yet, that being a photographer usually meant you DIDN'T have your picture taken). However, now wasn't the time and he didn't really know this student.
"That paper, may I see it, I think it might go to this book," he explained, showing the book and how some of the pages were sticking out oddly, a clear indication that it was falling apart.
Blinking at the odd request, Sunako looked down at the paper in her hand and then handed it to the professor. If a book was falling apart, wasn’t the librarian supposed to do something about it instead of him? Oh well, she didn’t really care the reason behind why he was going through the trouble to look for pages to an old book.
“Is that all you need?” She asked in a small voice.
