Shunsui was not entirely sure why he'd been given the task of helping explore the tunnel. The Headmaster knew him well, and so he must know that Shunsui was not particularly inclined to go wandering through the dungeons. Especially not after last time.

Ah. Perhaps he was going along to keep the students safe in case the Slytherin ghost was lurking about. In that case, then, he supposed he could postpone his afternoon of daydreaming and wishing for sake and Nanao women ( ... )

Rukia turned to recognize the infamous Hufflepuff ghost. Though she could not tolerate most things the boys around schools said around her considering her beauty (even if they were true), Rukia did not mind Shunsui's comments as much as they should. There was something about Shunsui that showed a higher level of thinking, despite some of the things he found interest in.

Blushing, Rukia replied, "Hello, Shunsui. I am equally honored to be escorted by the handsomest ghost in Hufflepuff!"
