I have been wondering this since her arrival. All I can think is that the Dementor was deceived. That is to say... they always completed their tasks, to deliver the kiss and remove the soul once the order is given becomes their focus. Either the order was never given, and we were all deceived, or perhaps it was someone who had temporarily taken on her appearance.
You know all this soul sucking is reminding him of Sebastian... c_cbloodycinematicSeptember 7 2010, 21:12:55 UTC
Such a sweet kiss. One of death should never be denied. It is the end, the very concept which makes me shudder. But it is never kind nor gentle. But yes, once it is time, they hardly fail to deliver, despite how the person is.
That's not to say she's not exactly happy but... okay when is Sylvanas ever happy. Less lineface.highbornlamentSeptember 6 2010, 19:24:24 UTC
You survived and Ultimecia is dead... defeated, in a battle that was of the type that such an outcome means heroism, but your failure and death would have meant a mocking of your name for foolishness that even time would not have forgiven. This is not to mention the potential loss of lives of those that would have to battle her beyond your falling.
Yes, Cid. Luck favors you and she. Though I dare not ask how close we came to that truth not being so. [There's an unspoken 'which is your fault for doing it alone' here somewhere because she still thinks he's a dummy for it]

I assume that as soon as you're able to get in contact with the Ministry, a full investigation of how they could fail so splendidly will take place?

You're well?

[You know, minus the scars on his beautiful face, but they'll go away once he gets up the right potion for it.]
...I suppose you would be expecting my letter of resignation, headmaster.

[he sighs.]
I... would be expecting an explanation. I imagine you must have good reason for your tactics.
[He'd like to hear the full story. Maybe he's a little too liberal with his open-mindedness, at times.]
