The darkness that so many have felt encroaching upon us here has, I fear, already set its mark upon my home. Correspondence received in the past several days from London has confirmed a steep increase in unusual activity that seem to be clear indicators of gathering foul forces.

The Council has seen fit to launch their own investigation, ( Read more... )

My thanks for your getting in touch with me regarding this matter, Miss Hellsing. I appreciate the trouble you have gone to in gaining permission to speak with me on the matter, as well ( ... )

Nothing but signs and portents. Unfortunate.

I have my men dispatched across Britain currently, searching for clues as to the nature of this disturbance. I imagine the magical community has take some notice of this as well - or at least those seated in power. Has there been any word sent down from the Ministry even, regarding anything related to prophecy, etc.? It might have seemed innocuous, even, at the time.

Otherwise, I'd like to request access to the Floo Network to communicate with those back at Headquarters on a more immediate basis than by owl. An increase in the speed of information may be crucial - if they find the source of this, Hellsing will be waiting on my orders to move.

If you feel the need to personally monitor communications made, this would be acceptable, but I would ask that it be only yourself, sir.

Precisely. Significant, undeniably, but nothing tangible or certain.

Nothing. This is, as one can imagine, a source of much of our concern; that we have barely scraps to work on. If we did have more information, I would be more than happy to hand it to the Hellsing organisation, but as it is, my hands are tied with a lack of information.

Granted. If you you rather not use the fireplace in your Common Room, for obvious issues of privacy, then you are free to use the one in my office, at least until we can arrange something more fitting in the long term.

I do not think there will be any need for me to do so, Miss Hellsing. Your business affairs are private, and not the business of myself. If, however, there is information you might wish to bring to my attention, then I would be glad to speak with you and take any such factors into consideration; as to whether something applies strictly to your organisation or whether it might effect the safety of Hogwarts I will leave to your discretion.

And merely grasping at straws may do nothing but put a strain on resources. Which someone might be banking on. I see.

I would prefer to veer away from conducting private Hellsing business where other students may interfere. Even using it at hours in which no one would be in the Common Room may simply cause a great deal of questions to crop up - or worse, inspire students to make a game out of attempting to spy on those conversations.

Very well. If further information arises, and I deem it applicable, I shall endeavor to bring it immediately to your attention.

Thank you, Headmaster. I believe that is all.
