Happy Monday, everyone!
Now, I have an important announcement. From now on, we will be abolishing House specific tables for meal times. Students may sit wherever they choose, and with whomever they choose. The rule concerning House specific tables for meal times has not been strictly enforced, but from now on consider the concept non-existent. Naturally, your Common Rooms and living quarters will remain House-based, but aside from the helpful administration aspect, we wish to encourage as much inter-House unity as possible.
Additionally, I think it is necessary to extend my thanks to those students who assisted during the chocobo incident. Miss Dupond, Miss Sterling, Miss Block, Miss Baumgard, Mister Drake; you all acted exceptionally.
On that note, I would like to urge all students to stay away from the Explosive Cherry tree on the grounds. The tree is very old, and very large, and thus far too dangerous to be removed - but straying too near can set off unfortunate explosions and upset our various creatures on the grounds, as well as being a danger to staff and students.

I recently found out some more information about Mister Sorel which I think is imperative for all of us to be aware of, for his sake as much as everyone else.
It has come to my attention that Mister Sorel is not simply... a difficult or troubled young man. Worse than that, it would seem that when he was younger, he was forced to engage in acts of torture, and be tortured in turn. It is... unthinkable, what he must have endured. I think this requires some careful consideration on each of our parts, and work together so that we do not simply sling accusations and punish him for behaviour that is not entirely within his control. Suffering and inflicting it on others is something he has been trained to do. It is our responsibility as the guardians of these children to try and help him recover from this treatment, and this ingrained mentality.
If anyone would like to speak with me, I encourage it. I think this is a very important matter to address.
