furthermore, this whole system seems rather puritanical, and almost fascist. From now on your wearing a giant P on your blouse EVERY DAY to school so that the whole world knows that Penny Pingleton is permanently, positively, punished."
One of the most frustrating things about it is how arbitrary the punishments are. Every teacher is free to interpret the rules however they see fit. And he is under the supervision of several different teachers throughout the day. Granted, there are a general set of rules that he should be adhering to, but the punishments are all entirely different from one hour to the next
