And maybe send him in with a blue marker so he can turn his own yellow card back to green! Though, this would probably have him sent with a referral to some homer simpson of a woman, who would completely dismiss his creative endeavor and political statement.

furthermore, this whole system seems rather puritanical, and almost fascist. Three things came to mind: Nathaniel Hawthorne (or Demi Moore) The Scarlet Letter, the Nazi color and symbol codings, and from John Waters' Hairspray:
"Penny Pingleton, you know you are punished. From now on your wearing a giant P on your blouse EVERY DAY to school so that the whole world knows that Penny Pingleton is permanently, positively, punished."

One of the most frustrating things about it is how arbitrary the punishments are. Every teacher is free to interpret the rules however they see fit. And he is under the supervision of several different teachers throughout the day. Granted, there are a general set of rules that he should be adhering to, but the punishments are all entirely different from one hour to the next ( ... )
