[Sasaki hears something strange going on in the nearby bedroom: Glados-san and her turrets never throw large objects around. Huh.

She opens the door and finds a naked man.]

To borrow a phrase from Kyon, oh, boy.

I don't recollect coming here naked...

[Raises an eyebrow.]

Very well. [Hell yeah, she is going to be snooping and prying, though.

Meanwhile, she gives a small smile.] World leaders tend to be the last people to figure out who is really important. Largely because it's not frequently them.

That's it, you're now my favorite in this town.

That means you get the cool stuff.

[Actually, a smile at that.]

Well, in that case, thank you, Mr. Tesla. If you haven't met Glados-san already, I think you'll find her interesting... she is another artificial intelligence.

No problem. Now, does this sort of thing happen to robots a lot?

We have a robot dog, Glados-san is a robot, and you are, which seems to suggest some kind of whimsy on the part of the authorities... especially in regards to me, since I'm not a robot.

But most of the citizens are human or at least organic.

A robot dog too? What are they looking for, a collection?

Robots aren't all that amazing in the long run. You have a favorite drink?

Apparently so. Given this pattern, I'm honestly starting to wonder. We may, however, have the most intelligent house in Mayfield. I'm lucky to be included.

[And internally, she thinks, if she had to choose a person to supply an inventive "human" element, they could do worse than Sasaki.]

Perhaps not robots, but artificial intelligences are. Though maybe your technology has developed to a point where there is something better, still.

[Furrows her brow:] I suppose I would pick tea. Gyokuro.

If you ask me, I am the foremost scientific mind in the world. But I'm a little bias.

Do you know what my favorite drink from back home is though?

Naturally.

I'm sorry to say I don't know. Energy drinks? Or simply water would be a classic choice.

I never had a mouth. Or a sense of taste. Or a real concept of taste beyond hanging out with a bunch of people and watching them enjoy it.

You can tell me again how robots are better later, but for as long as I can I am going to enjoy being human.

I see. But would you say you knew an equivalent amount of information about taste compared to people who had the sense? I'm asking about the philosophical concept of qualia, if you're familiar with it.

At any rate, point taken, I suppose. [But not entirely conceded.]

A bit. Maybe I'm just a tad jealous of the opportunity for first hand experiences.

It's just my luck though that I get the chance when I really could use my old body back.

I see.

What is your old body like, if I may?

Strong, advanced sensors and built like a tank.

Don't get me wrong, one of the scariest men I know is human. I just think my normal tactics aren't going to work at the moment.

[Raises an eyebrow with a small smile:]

Based on that description, it sounds like your normal tactics are, find them and then pulverize them before they find you.
