I just downloaded I.V. by International Victim, which i suppose i should have done a long time ago. It onyl really occurred to me that i should get on that and actually do it when i was just trawling I-tunes for free podcasts and found an episode of something called Broadway Bulletin or something similar in which there was an interview with Drew ( Read more... )

Now this is something I can legitimately comment on. :3 First off, what interview was it that he talked about Comet/Collision? I ran across it once months ago and then it vanished from my radar, and since I've yet to run analyses on either of these songs, I'd like to see it again. [I think I actually read a transcript rather than listened to the interview itself ( ... )

That's pretty much what i thought 'Days upon our knees' was about... Maybe it's an American thing. I always feel a bit iffy about contemporary war-related songs.

Never read the Virgin Suicides, so maybe i should get on that. XD

The thing about the 'sound' is purely an attention thing. The acoustic songs just lacked the boldness of tune which keeps my attention as far as music is concerned. Which isn't to say i don't adore a lot of acoustic music, just those songs didn't feel like much. I'll be fair and say i didn't give them much of a chance; maybe i just need some repeat listens... but yeah... I can't claim to know an awful lot about music (Though you seem to know an awful lot about everything, leaving me feeling a little bereft)but i know what holds my attention. And you mentioned Green Day... This is compeltely unrelated but have you seen the Green Day Musical 'American Idiot'. Holy Cow, is it one of the worst things ever concieved in the history of the world! XD
