I've finally got round to scanning those Victorian photographs in.

None of them are dated, but quite a few in the box were 1880-ish.

Oh these are nice! I have two sideshow cabinet cards of albino ladies that I really should have framed. I love them.

*Squints.* Er, is that Onan something-or-other as Hamlet? No, surely not - even if it'd lead to a terrible joke about being surprised at him holding the skull with both hands.

...there's a painting of Alma Murray by Bassano in the National Portrait Gallery.

Oh, thanks. I hadn't heard of her until I found the photograph. I shall have to look her up.

Arrrrgh! The frustration of living someplace where "historic" consists of buildings that have been standing since 1953. (All 4 of them.)
