Oooh, very, very nice, and very hot too! I *like* fics when Alex decides to let his hair down 'cause... what the heck, he's not going to live forever, right?

And is it wrong that the hottest moment in the entire fic for me was
"When I kill you, Alex, it will be in the heat of battle, not the heat of passion." Oh yum!

Though I have the sneaking suspicion that Yassen is pretending here as much as at the end, because it may be hot, and Yassen may hope to believe it, but... nope. I don't buy it ;). Self-delusions are a wonderful thing, and he's always been way, way too protective, and the entire fic proves it :).

Enjoyable sex, too ;).

I'm glad you found it hot; I don't think I've ever written fully consensual sex before and I wasn't sure how it would turn out.

I still have to try and set up some kind of conflict between the two of them though, so that's the "I'll kill you when we meet again" thing...but you're right - Yassen's too overly protective of Alex to ever hurt him when the time comes.

Yassen is fooling himself if he thinks when the time comes and he faces Alex that he'll be able to kill him...he says one thing, but the entire story shows how protective he is of Alex.

I guess he thinks the difference is 'work' vs. 'personal'? But I believe he's in for a surprise when the moment of truth arrives, especially if Alex keeps on working to form and strengthen that emotional bond between them.
