I loved Harry's realistic flashback to what *could* have happened to him in 'Snakehead' rather than having to fight - it shows a more self-aware, adult side.
The torture scene was frightening as hell - especially because Alex goes into it all heroic to protect Wolf, believing his previous experiences have prepared him, only to find out that they haven't at all. The way he breaks down and, well, breaks, is superbly realistic, and I had a moment of rage at Wolf there telling him to shut up.
And yet it's still Alex who keeps together and gets them out of there in the end, never losing his mental edge. That's awesome courage, and I was slightly mollified to see Wolf acknowledging it in the end. As well he should! *growls softly*
Awesome fic!!!

The torture scene was intriguing. Burning! I felt myself feeling so sorry for him. And then Wolf had the gall to tell him to shut up! I was like 'oh shut up yourself you're not in his position!'
And the whole idea of 'Alex is not an adult' was portrayed nicely.
I was hoping to see some more of K-unit pop up, but the story was overall engaging and well-written.

Oh well, I've read it now. I wish I was better at coming up with plots like this, and the torture scene made me cringe. I've burned my leg on a motorcycle muffler, so I know how painful burns can be - my stomach was clenching just imagining not one but two burns. And that pain just lingers on too...
I wanted to smack Wolf - what did he expect Alex to do? Most adults wouldn't be able to withstand that kind of torture. At least in the end Wolf acknowledges that Alex did a great job (and so did the two wonderful authors of this fic!)
