Another political question

Who are you going to vote for in the presidential election, and why? (pretend for a minute that you can be bothered to vote)

And yes, I am going to question whatever answer you provide, no matter which side it is. I just want some actual justification, not "Obama isn't George W. Bush" or "McCain isn't a Muslim Terrorist."

I'm voting for Obama. I think he represents the current population of the US better. Half white, half black, comes from a divorced family, has lived in and out of America and also in a normal economic situation and in a much poorer one. A lot of his views are more in line with mine as well.

I used to say that if McCain ran, then i'd have a very hard time not voting for him, as I am a Democrat and he was the most liberal Republican out there. However, over the past few years he has abandoned a lot of his former "maverick" ideals and pandered to his party (and the conservatives) too much. ALSO I do not like Sarah Palin or any of her views.

Obama, because his running mate doesn't think the Founding Fathers were responsible for the presence of "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance, which didn't even exist until the late 19th century.

There are a lot of other reasons, but Palin's sheer ignorance tops the list.

I'm voting the Obiden ticket, because its views are closer to mine on most issues, and because I think the rest of the world will respect us more if we elect a mulatto with a funny name to be the Leader of the Free World, and because my mamma raised me to be a yellow dog Democrat.

Of course I am registered to vote. For one thing, even if you think that your vote is inconsequential in the presidential election, there are plenty of more relevant local issues in which your vote does matter.
