What an excellent new chapter. I really enjoyed the way you drew the world from Buffy's feverish perspective. And I really like these new, overtly literal creatures. So fun. I also liked getting a glimpse of Spike's tenderness, something that he's been guarding quite closely. And that ending... As if I needed more reasons to look forward to more.

Thank you, Ali! :-) With Spike's uncertainty as to where things stand between the two of them, I felt that the only way he'd let his true feelings sneak out was in response to a crisis - but I did want to show that yes, of course Spike still wuvs Buffy (no matter how he tries to talk himself out of it).

I'm always happy to see more of this story. This chapter has some wonderfully vivid writing and interesting characters and I'm just lapping it all up. Thanks for the enjoyable read.

Yeah for an update. I'm glad Buffy's on the mend and hopefully some other type of mending can happen too...I enjoy your new world. Your OC's are great. Can't wait to figure it out.

Glad you got a Dawn and Connor thing going on!

Thanks, Jesterlady! I don't think Buffy enjoys the new world, but I'm glad you do. :-)

I wiffle-waffled on what to do with Dawn & Connor (& company), but eventually decided to go with a companion story, rather than have it integrated with this one. When I get to a stuck spot on this story, I'll go work on the other one, so at least it's been productive that way!
