WLReunion Challenge #16 Spin-Off
It’s 2005 and Dawn Summers just wants to go to college and fit in just like everybody else. The last two years of her high school education were spent being “home” schooled so that she could follow her older sister to different locations establishing Watcher Council offices. Now that she’s been accepted to NYU all she wants to do is spend the next four years discovering everything New York City has to offer, and leave the world of the supernatural behind.
Original Characters
Hazel Lewis (Logan Browning) is Dawn's roommate. Hazel is far more experienced in just about everything (except the supernatural) than Dawn is. They quickly form a friendship, and Hazel revels in catching Dawn up on what she was missing being home schooled.
Sawyer Donovan (Robbie Amell) is in Dawn’s Intro to Philosophy class. The first day she sees him it’s love at first sight. Too bad Sawyer’s got a girlfriend back home in Georgia. It wouldn’t be so bad if Sawyer wasn’t part of her new group of friends.
Kenzie Richards (Martha MacIsaac) is the resident advisor on Dawn’s dorm floor. She’s a stickler for the rules, and Dawn often finds herself covering for Hazel. Kenzie is two years older than them, a junior heading for law school.
Gage Kavanagh (Dave Franco) is a barista at the local Starbucks. Dawn frequently spends time at the coffee shop listening to her iPod and getting work done. Gage takes an immediate interest in Dawn, but she is blind to his attention.
Professor Lin (Ming-Na Wen) teaches Dawn and Sawyer’s Into to Philosophy class. Dawn impresses her on a well written assignment. She becomes suspicious when the woman inquires about her home life.
