There was nothing wrong with her crown. Despite what people said, she was sure it was real silver, right? Maybe the gems weren't real, but the crown had to be real. It wasn't quite as nice as the actual Queen's crown, but then again, she'd know what that was like once she became a senior. For now, Bebe Stevens was quite happy with representing the sophomores in the homecoming court ( ... )

Wendy thought the crown looked fine, even if it was not the most expensive (or even nicest) one available. It had been the best that the decent budge would allow, and was significantly better than the Freshman one ( ... )

"Okay, think about that question, think long, and think hard," Bebe replied quickly, fixing Wendy with a serious look, one eyebrow cocked slowly. "Do you really think I will ever get enough pictures of this night? No, I will not. At least until next year, and when it'll be just a repeat, and by the time we graduate, think of the awesome collage I'll be able to make. Homecoming court, four years running, looks fantastic on a college application, hun!"

Wendy made a valid point, even if Bebe failed to see it. They had already spent a majority of their afternoon under camera lights, even though Bebe was totally unaware of Wendy's opposition to some of the poses with Stan, and Bebe had basked in it fully, enjoy every moment of attention. Maybe her own parents wouldn't mind, but Ellen and Ryan would be so proud when they saw them. More so when they saw the ones Bebe wanted to take, not the ones faculty wanted to take.

"I want a picture with you," Bebe finally added, leaning in even closer to tell her, placing a light kiss against her ( ... )

[Stan was mingling with various students from his class, flipping between this group and the football players, a plastic half glass of fizzy punch in hand. Oh, he was nervous despite the calm look on his face. So far, everyone had been assuming that he had come with Bebe, seeing as they were prince and princess and all that. A few people had questioned why Bebe was pretty much glued to Wendy's side since the crowning, and Stan just muttered something about them being good friends and all before the subject was changed to something more comfortable and required less quick thinking - football ( ... )

[Mercedes would recognise that hair anywhere. She approached Kenny with confidence in her step, her heels clacking on the wooden floor of the gym as she approached him. Oh, his suit was horribly tacky and so 1974, but it was Kenny, and it suited him. Oddly. Maybe. Okay, she was lying to herself to make herself feel better, but inner-Cedes wasn't hearing it.

Despite her passion for fashion, Mercedes had promised Kenny at least one dance. And maybe his skills on the floor would make up for the blue of his suit.]

Hey, cutie. Glad you made it.

Mercedes simply laughed at Kenny's innuendo. She sent a wink up at him as he stood up. So his face was still cute. Not horribly bad then. Her inner need to be perfect at all times was mollified.

"Shall we go then?" she asked, holding her hand out to him. Not that she expected him to woo her with waltzes or swing dancing. Not that you could do either of those things to T-Pain or anything. Besides, she didn't know how to waltz or swing, anyway. Slow dancing and what the majority of the student body of SPH were doing - grinding.

Oh god, had she really agreed to come to homecoming? Had it really been her idea? Did she really ask Tammy to come with her? Had Tammy really said yes, even as a friend? Lizzy could barely believe it. Even though she was standing in the room, listening to the horrible r&b music, and watching the other students gyrating around each other in an excuse for dancing ( ... )

Tammy was too excited and happy for words. The crown placed atop her head gave Tammy even more confidence than usual. And damn, Tammy just hadn't expected to win! The idea was so amazingly foreign to her: even if she wasn't in the same grade as her, she'd only thought about how expected it was for Bebe to win... And hell, if anyone was going to get the crown for the Juniors, it would be Mercedes, right?

Wrong. Apparently.

"I'm hungry," Tammy said simply. She knew Lizzy would go for this. "Let's get some grub."

"I'm down with grub," Lizzy agreed quickly, smirking over at her friend, and offering her arm out for Tammy to take. "Shall we, miss?" she suggested, always loving to mess with the other girl. Things were a lot cooler between them tonight than they had been lately, it was like they were just best friends again, without the weirdness, and Lizzy was happy with that. Whether it was simply because Tammy was too focused on her fame and winning to care, or that Lizzy was actively trying not to act so weird, she wasn't sure.

But it was definitely fantastic.

And Tammy did look very gorgeous in her crown, as fake as it was. Lizzy only wished her cellphone could take pictures, so she could have been able to snap a few. Oh well, at least the professional photographers had been around to get some. "I could pretty much eat an entire plate of sandwiches, dude, fuck.. or like, that whole bowl of punch.. or a whole cake, or.. just food, let's bounce."

Tammy grinned her usual grin as she laced her arm into Lizzy's. The night was young and there was just so much cake to be eaten. Just as long as none of it got on her dress...

"We shall, my lady."

[ Sorry again for not replying quickly... I got grounded. And still am D: So SHHHH! ]

[Mercedes walked in, having already lost her date. Her dress was white and clung to her nicely, just like she wanted it to. She always made sure she looked good, no matter where she went, and dances were certainly no exception. Like Bebe, this was her element, and the sort of thing she loved to do, because it gave her prime opportunity to show off. Even if she should be heading to bed early that night, she probably wouldn't be hitting the sheets until well after midnight. Especially if there were after parties to be had. ]
