Tell me if you've experienced this. Writing a Mekton Zeta scenario for the Freedom! game setting. The scenario is set in Ottawa in the year 2374. The city has been perfectly preserved by the invading "Leaders" since it was abandoned in 2260. I was studying my 2010 street map to work out where the barriers are positioned, and have only now just ( Read more... )

Glad to see and read that you're actually planning to run something at CanGames, and that you're working on the scenario itself well in advance.

Will Tammy and I potentially get to playtest this game?

And why aren't you running Atomic Highway? :)

I thought you didn't like anime John? ;-) As to why I'm not running Atomic Highway, Neither you nor Tammy expressed an interest in the game for Sunday. Truth be told, that's only reason I'm running Desolation I actually have no scenario ideas for that setting. At CanGames, I'm planning to run a Freedom! scenario and one of the pre-written Desolation scenarios in order to get some experience with the mechanics for GenCon.

Oh, that's right, I'm not an animé fan, you're right. :)

To be honest, I can take or leave Atomic Highway these days, simply because the game requires me to actually figure out what setting to use and then make it up myself, something that I have problems doing with some extrapolating of stuff for post-apocalypse in that style. That said, I do like the game.

As for Desolation, well...you run the game because you want to run it, not because Tammy or I will or won't play it. Same goes for any other game. Of course, if I had my druthers, you'd be running Doctor Who: Adventures in Time and Space or The Laundry Files. hehe
