Today I ventured west, into the land of the unknown -- where mountains are made of cereal and snow falls up, not down. Yesterday was so relaxing, and today was so busy -- but it was fun. I did my long-awaited presentation at Photography Club, and it went well except for a glitch I luckily discovered before it went on. In a way, I am eager to do another "secret assignment" next year, but it was also mentally exhausting to constantly scan my surroundings in search ( Read more... ) -
Rare self-portraits
Yesterday morning I took some self-portraits in the bathroom of the house I'm staying in, as it has nice natural light. They turned out rather diffuse, but that is what I had in mind, as well as achieving a silhouette by stopping down a bit. I like how the light from the blinds transferred its pattern onto my jeans.

The sunrise was in the right place this time, but it wasn't all that spectacular. What's all the hoop-lah about? I hereby decree that no one shall have to get up before 11am EVER AGAIN.

Whew, what a weekend! On Friday I worked from 7:30am-12pm, had class from 12-1pm, went horseback riding between 1:30pm and 4:30pm, had a staff meeting from 5pm to 7pm, met up with Sarah #2 from 7:30pm to 9pm, and then visited Josh. On Saturday, Josh and I were downtown all afternoon and I bought a stereo for Rin Tin Box at Visions. It was listed ( Read more... )
