This? Is utterly and completely brilliant. What a clever way to tell the story--even without the details of the letterheads and different parchments. Add those in and it just ups the brilliance to epicness. It doesn't hurt that I'm a huge fan of missing moments, and this behind-the-scenes look at the goings on at the ministry in the period between OotP and HBP feeds right into that love.

Love Arthur, love the underhandedness of Albus (all 'for the greater good' of course), love Fudge nominating Umbridge (whom I hate with a passion) and Scrimgeour's convincing Umbridge that she'd be better off dropping out, and... (I could go on and on.) The characters all just really came to life in their letters.

*bows down before your greatness*

*flail* SO awesome. The amount of thought and work that went into this really shows. It's like you've picked out certain details in a vast painting - the rest of the painting is implied very well.

P.S. I love Yaxley referring to Voldemort (right?) as "our Dear Friend".

This is just terrific. I love a good epistolary story, such a great way to introduce different perspectives. And good on you for your complex and nuanced characterization--just because *we* don't like Rita Skeeter doesn't mean she's automatically in bed with The Bad Guys. Really, all she wants is a good story--real or fake!

Love this. Love the political intrigue and the different parchment and the different handwriting <3

This is fantastic! I love the way it initially appears as "just" a fun behind-the-scenes look at the Ministry (I use the quotation marks around "just" because really, it would have been great as that, too), but builds into a compelling story that takes in everything we know of what has happened and what is to come.

My favourite part was the Quick-Quotes Quill, but the whole thing is so much fun. Seriously impressive!
