Title: Two Dragons Author: lazy_neutrino Recipient: lyras Character(s): Cho, Marietta Rating: PG Wordcount: 1050 Warnings (highlight to view): None Summary: Fifth year. Cho and Marietta have to make a choice. Betas: kennahijja
What a nice scene: lots of "girls' talk" about boys, clothes and other girls *gg*, and then the funny remarks like You wouldn't believe how pleased people at the Ministry are that Umbridge is hundreds of miles away, poking her nose in up here. - I always thought so myself ;-) and the serious moments, too, when they think of the need to fight "it" once and for all.....
I love the dialogue here; it's so realistic and flowing and telling of the girls' friendship -- I loved their teasing and casual banter. You do a wonderful job with both characters, making their motivations ring utterly true.
Marietta shook her head. 'It's just - everything's so black and white with her. And she's always right, all the time.'
Oh, this is lovely! Two girls feeling their way through their choices, and it feels so very real. I love the way you flesh out both characters here. The way Cho is angry at herself for crying, and her comment to Marietta: 'Silly. I know you.'
I like the comments about Hermione (much as I love Hermione, myself), and about Marietta's parents. The dragon clouds act as a lovely framing device, too.

*nods* A completely believable resentment.
