I love your portrayal of Slughorn, so determined to walk the middle ground, and yet also so self-deluding in some ways. In fact, now I've read the entire story, they're all like that a little, aren't they, except Luna? As in, they all think they're being clever, but they're suffering for it in some way.

Anyway, I did enjoy your Seamus, fleshed out in such a novel way! And I like the way you don't compromise with Pansy, either - she knows what she wants and she's going after it as hard as she can.

And then Luna! <3

She died when you were a child. She'll never get to see you graduate, or be at your wedding, or hold your children...

Yes, well done, Harry - always full of tact. :P

The rainbow glasses were a truly lovely way to wind this up. They made me smile.

Thank you so much! I did think of Luna as the one who exhibited true cleverness, while all the others are trying to be clever and hurting themselves because of it. I'm glad that made sense to you!

Beautifully written. Each of the sections is completely IC, and the way you move from the one to the other works excellently.

I especially loved Horace (for whom I have a soft spot); you characterize him so beautifully.

And Pansy the young entrepreneur is an example to us all. That girl will go far.

Great story! Each character is perfect and I like how it all sort of tied together in the end.

I loved this! All of your characterizations are very original. I particularly enjoyed Luna, but I adore her, and your ending made me LOL! :D

This is fabulous. The first three sections were so beautifully connected - one typical night at Hogwarts, with three scheming, conniving plotters all with their own very different agendas - and written in very different voices. You made me wish I was there...

The fourth section is a great contrast to the first three: as lyras says above, Luna's the one who is clever without being deceptive and therefore also the most secure in herself. I thought the glasses were a wonderful way to end as well - every section had a line or two that made me twitch with delight (Albus' 'You know your worth' comment; Seamus' not-enchanted exam papers; Pansy's bluebirds) - and Luna's glasses were just the icing on a very tasty cake.

Wonderful!
