Draco found it wasn't hard to say "Thank you," to a Gryffindor after all.
--finally, he's learning. :)

What a lovely idea to let Draco have Snape's wand. I liked how you used the details of Snape's wand to characterise him, how the ornaments on the handle made for a firm grip.
I liked that you showed different sides of Draco: his not-being-ready to be grateful for Harry's victory over Voldemort, his care for Snape, his thoughts about Vince and Greg and how he perceived them as friends, his encounter with Neville.
To see Neville so calm and confident was lovely. I really enjoyed the small truce he and Draco formed over retrieving Snape's body. It started a change in Draco. Well, the chance obviously started earlier, with his experiences under Voldemort's and the Carrows' reign, but this is where we actually see Draco interacting with someone he used to taunt and bully.
It was quite a development from ... would just have to live it down, like the rest of them who had made mistakes to ... looked as if he would be returning to Hogwarts whether he wanted to or ( ... )

Great characterizations of the Malfoys and Neville.
You went a long way toward honoring Snape.
