Very well done. I had never thought about Percy's continuing to be estranged from his family after the war, but with the grief over Fred's death clouding everything it is very likely. I loved how you used humor to break the tension in the family, particularly George's teasing about Padma. :)

I thought JK put Percy in a very odd place in Deathly Hallows, newly reunited with his family and the last one to see Fred before he died. I can't help but feel some of the family might hold a grudge against him for that more so than anything else he'd done. That last part was so hard to write. I'm grateful for George.

Oh, I love Weasley family things. It certainly makes sense that Percy is still not quite at rights with his family, and I think you've attacked this scenario in a realistic way, with Molly being anxious for everyone to get along, and Ron being the one who's still the angriest. I enjoyed George's awkwardness about Angelina, and also the moment where Molly lets Hermione take care of Ron--that part in particular struck me as one of those quiet, subtle moments that are sometimes much more effective than anything more explicit or involved. Percy's character is best attacked like this, also, so as to reconcile his pompousness with the more likable aspects of his personality, and I think you have done that quite well. Families can be hard work, and that's definitely reflected in this story.

Honestly, I just love the Weasleys, really, and Percy, a bit, and I think you've done an excellent job with this.

Thank you. Looking back at this story, there is a whole lot of awkwardness in there. I'm really glad you enjoyed that part with Molly, Hermione and Ron. I wasn't certain whether to keep it or not because there's so much about that theme that could be explored and I didn't want to get away from Percy, but at the same time I really felt it was important for him as person to be one who notices that before anyone else.

Awesome! I'm so glad you enjoyed this. I think Percy's uncertain about a lot of things due to everything he pledged his allegiance to falling down around him. I'm glad you caught on to his overthinking everything.

This was a nice look into the Weasley family. I liked how they all had their individual way of making new contact with Percy.

Thanks, I tried to write each character so that they were their own person, while at the same time obviously related in some way.

The George and Percy scene might be my favorite here, but it's going against some strong contenders. I love how so many characters get a word in, how we get to see him interact with them so individually. And then it all builds up to him getting teased by the whole family, a part of the group again. I love it.

Thank you. The George and Percy scene was definitely in my top three favorite scenes to write because it was so awkward. I think a conversation between them would be awkward no matter the circumstances, but with Angelina and Percy's need to be a part of the family again, it just added to it. I'm very glad you liked this.
