I love your foul-mouthed, sarcastic Slytherin Rose - her inner monologue/rant is just too much fun, and I adore how she pours out snark on everybody her mind touches on. I honestly could see why she might feel that way - trying *not* to fit into the Weasley mould because there's too much of them as it is, embodying all her parents' prejudices, and (*grin*) hating the Malfoys on top of everything. The "the heir to the house of ferrets" was brilliant!

Heh, what an insane, fun romp - if you gotta do rebellion, you just as well can do it *right* ;).

This is a completely unexpected portrayal of Rose -- Ron and Hermione must be having fits. It would be fun to see the same idea applied to all the next-generation kids in turn!

I like to reread the stories on the exchange and I'm inveterate double commentator. I reread this one and I have to ask if Rose is completely honest with us about herself. Even Hermione's prestige couldn't get a complete slacker made Head Girl. I like the way you kept Rose's voice consistent through the entire piece. You never took a misstep with her voice. Reading her was quite a ride. I don't always like first person narrative. I think it can get tiresome -- all those I's on a page -- but you keep this rollicking.
