Completely and utterly gorgeous. I love this. The structure, the changes in tone, the dialogue, and then that twist at the end. Beautiful!

This is just beautiful. The imagery is amazing, I loved how you described their interaction as a a perfume pressed to the wrist - how long the scent lingers, how indecipherable its source. That line is going to stick with me for a long while. And I can see Remus like that, aware of how futal it all is, yet standing by, because he does love Harry and he does believe, yet he still can't bring himself to kill. Even better, you showed how Remus would recognize the irony in that, and it makes it even better. This is definitely going in the memories, phenomenol work!
