If she hadn't had better before, she might think that this was as good as it gets. <- that tiny little detail broke me before I got any further.

But oh, god, that's wonderful. It's utterly wonderful, Serph is so horribly, horribly perfect in how he presents himself and how he behaves and how he knows how to talk to people, and she's just... oh, the fact that her body is a bit "I wouldn't mind more of this" but her gut and her brain still knows something is wrong with him, and probably would even without the research - it's creepy, creepy wrong and fantastic. Brilliant, brilliant stuff :)!
