I think it's so well characterized- Shuuei being more 'insistent' and saying the sorts of things he might regret, Kouyuu being reluctant the entire time. Even him running afterwards fits in...to my chagrin ^_^; I like that Shuuei would think Kouyuu's beautiful partly because of his contrast with the crowds Shuuei generally runs in.

I think, long ago, that this was the prompt I submitted, so i'm happy =D

Shuuei is totally screwed about now, and not in the way he would like ^_^. It's going to take a lot of sweet talking and sacrifices on Shuuei's part to get back in Kouyuu's good books. Not that I have an evil plot bunny or anything of that sort.

I have so many evil plot bunnies that I could open a plot bunny farm. I really need to try and convince other people to write them for me pick them up instead.

This is the best characterization I've read of Shuuei/Kouyuu, particularly of Shuuei. Shuuei's attraction lies in both his teasing and gentleness, but its easy to forget his selfishness as well--a slightly ugly undercurrent that you subtly wove throughout the story, ending with his horrific misunderstanding (and manipulation)of Kouyuu's feelings. Your emotional assessment of Kouyuu's insecurities was also beautifully, insightfully done.
Gah!!!! I love all your fics!!! I absolutely *adore* Shuuei/Kouyuu (or really, just Kouyuu ^_<) and THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH FICS ABOUT THEM(HIM)!!!! Please continue to write more of my favorite fics!!!
