The surprises definitely work as a running theme, and "you're thinking like an Archadian" is priceless. Well-written as usual, enough that however little I understand this pairing I could keep reading.

Hee, thank you! I'm not sure there really is a grand pairing-narrative to grasp, the way I write them -- it's more just a chance to let Basch have a good time, without it being all fraught with consequences.

...and of course Archadians would be hung up on seme/uke. Status-obsessed bastards. ^^

Oh, thank you. :) This is my prompt - and I was thrilled when I'd seen you'd taken it, after the one previous piece. I'm certainly not disappointed! The story is beautiful also, with more flow to it than the usual pwp piece.

The recurring games of 'I never guessed' added a smile into the middle of the story, and the casual nature of this suits both. Also, hot.

It'd be OK for me to be woken up like this any day, I think.

Thank you! I think this is one of the ones I had the easiest time writing, of all my claims this round -- Balthier's voice is so much fun, and Basch having a good time always improves my day, so between those two things it was a really fun piece to do. ^_^

...and yes. I would definitely take this kind of wake-up call as often as it were available. *prrr*

Haha, I love that everyone goes "Wait, but you and Fran?" at Balthier.

*grin* Well, really. Random NPCs in the street notice that there's something up with them! It was a lot of fun to play with. ^^

And yes. mmm. playing around with the early game again right now, and oh god. His voice. I could listen to him read the phone book, or whatever the Dalmascan equivalent is. <3

I've read along for a while now, and it's hit me, finally, what I probably like most about everything you do.

Your men actually touch each other, and pet and nuzzle and have warm feelings. It's not all just "SUPRISE!BUTTSECKS YAOI R SO HAWT LOLLERSKATES". It's refreshing and pleasant and lovely. They have relatedness!sex. That's rare and special. Thank you. ^_^

Thank you! I'm really glad it comes across that way. ♥ I've always felt like it's more rewarding to have the characters in a sex scene be, well, people instead of just caricatures -- even when they're having casual sex (or as close to "casual" as Basch gets, I think), it's still not totally detached, and there's background to influence how it happens.
