w-woobers ;___;

They tremble as he unlaces his shirt, and it is that perhaps more than anything else that breaks her heart.

*snuggins* So hard to write this, with the woe and the doom.

Scooorching!

I'm always intrigued about the power issues between them because of who they are and in this line: He claims her mouth -- surrenders his own -- perhaps both; perhaps there is no difference is just gah, lovely.

Thank you! And yeah, the way the power issues play out between the two of them -- the oppositions between physical power differences and social ones, and the degree to which their roles constrain them -- yes. oh. I'm glad that worked for you. ^^

;_____;

she kisses him, and he makes a sound like a sob into her mouth
The image of Basch crying is now killing me. So very heartbreaking! And they deserve so much good things now, after all that. Just. ;____;

;____;, I know!
It was really tough trying to write this, knowing I probably couldn't get away with really making it a happy ending.

Thank you! It felt like a good compromise, a way to keep myself from having to write either ending that I wouldn't have felt good about. ^^;

...and yes. SO much win. He looks good there. :d

Just. The language choices break be a lot. There is so much weight to this, all the heavy words and heavy gestures, the bed being too soft, Ashe so immobile beneath him...

ah, thank you! I was so afraid when I was writing this that I was repeating you only less elegantly. I'm glad it works for you. <3

I don't think you have to worry. I mean, the brunt of Seams is much more desperate and forced than this--the mood of this piece is quite different, resigned, more hopeful, and much less about Basch. And you ound plenty elegant, if I do say so.

<3 Thank you. You are so kind. ^^
I can't seem to help wanting to put hope in there. I'm a big mushball when it comes to characters I like.
