It's so sad the way Tohru feels so detached from the Sohmas in this way. :(

Hmm, yes. The fic is cruel on Kyo -- but then, as I told my friend in a chatting session, he should have just *approached* her.

Momiji did the second time they met, and managed to win Tohru that way.

It was addressed slightly in the manga, and non-existent in the anime. Such a shame. Though pretty much everyone was awesome with Tohru, so there's that. :) Thanks so much for sharing!

Thanks -- I used much a simpler and cleaner writing style in this than I do in a lot of my pieces and ... I'm glad to see it paid off.

Thanks for saying that too -- I wasn't really sure how to make it 'dark'. So it ended up being mostly angsty (and a very mild case of that too).
