Somehow, Tall! Kenshin is just breaking my brain. Heeee.

(although, I've run into an anime character who essentially _looks_ like a very tall, non-scarred Kenshin... which, come to think of it, also broke my brain, so there you go)

Fun story! Love the interaction between the two of them, and how the emotions are depicted.

Hey JD!

I very very very briefly considered keeping him short, but Tolkien has broken my brain and insists that elves are tall. (It also insists that it's elves not elfs and dwarves not dwarfs so, he's had quite the impact.)

Where is this tall non-scarred Kenshin?

Thanks! *hugs*

I have to say, this is definitely amusing, and not at all the normal cliche fantasy fic one would expect. The six foot tall Kenshin is something to get used to; my mind practically rebels against the idea of a Kenshin as tall as Aoshi. I think it likes the idea of a giant Kenshin and a shrunken Aoshi better. The tattoos and bit against Legolas were great as well. I especially liked Kenshin's disdain towards Legolas and wannabe-Legolas ( ... )

Ahaha, I was at work and forgot to log-in when I left the comment. My bad.

Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope you have a lovely birthday and minimal hangovers (if one at all). :D

No hangovers; I don't drink! (I'm just naturally like this, which is even scarier, no?) Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Also, I considered your review carefully, and have made some changes to the pacing and exposition. Just loaded the edits on ff.net, so they should be available in the next half hour:

Tolkien has ruined me for short elves, so I had to make him tall. ;)

Besides, it's only after we see him next to Sano or someone that it's apparent he's a short dude, anyway.
