Spike burst through the door of the Magic Box, cursing as he stomped on the flaming blanket. He raised his head as if suddenly remembering where he was and rushed to the counter. “Rupert! You have to help me!”

Giles stopped shelving the books in his hands. “What is it, Spike? Demons? Vampires?” He walked quickly to the counter to grab up a pad and pen, ready to take notes and begin researching.

Spike moved behind the watcher, his eyes watching the door in fear. “It’s the boy. He’s gone mad.”

“Boy? You mean Xander?”

“Yeah, the whelp, he’s totally out of control.”

“I see. And just what is it that he’s supposedly done?” Giles set the pad and pen aside and sat down at the stool behind the counter.

Spike began to pace around the tables and bookcases in a haphazard path. “Well, he’s been-I mean he’s-he’s just out of control and you need to put a stop to it.”

“Spike, I can’t help if you don’t tell me what’s going on. If this is some kind of a joke-”

“He’s been coming to the crypt and taking advantage of me,” Spike shouted in outrage.

Spike watched as the glasses were snatched from the watcher’s face; a cleaning cloth appeared suddenly and the spectacles were polished furiously. “What do you mean, exactly, when you say ‘taking advantage’?”

“He’s been showing up and acting strangely, all suave and confident. If that’s not strange I don’t know what is. Ever since demon girl left he’s been…coming on to me.” Giles’ snort of laughter set the vampire off again, “It’s true! At first I thought it was funny that the boy was trying to hit on me, thought I’d lead him on a bit before I shot him down. But then he just showed up one night and…”

“Spike, are you saying that Xander, um, forced you?” Giles asked grimly.

“Wha? Well, no, not exactly.”

“Not exactly?” Giles huffed, showing the telltale signs of exasperation as he slipped his glasses back on.

“Well, like I said, he comes in all suave and stuff and, well, he usually backs me in a corner cause he knows I can’t force him away and then he…well-”

“He what, Spike?”

“He makes me want it,” he pouted.

And there went the glasses again.

“He… makes you want it? I… I see,” Giles tried to look everywhere in the room except at the blond. “And you have no choice in the matter?”

“Well, no. He does this thing with his tongue-”

“Spike!” Giles shouted. “I have no need of any details… ever!”

The bell above the door jingled as it was opened, both men turned toward the entrance to observe the newcomer. Spike flinched back as the laughing group entered the shop.

Buffy, Willow, and Xander were giggling as they stumbled into the Magic Box. The trio straightened and managed to mostly stifle their laughter as Giles and Spike continued to stare at them.

Buffy recovered first. “Um. Sorry, Giles. Xander was just telling us a story about one of the guys on his crew.”

“Yes, well, stories seem to be the theme for the night,” Giles commented dryly. “Xander, might I have a word with you?”

The three Scoobies exchanged worried looks.

Finally Xander shrugged. “Sure G-man,” he smiled, following the ex-watcher into the back room.

Before closing the door Giles turned. “Oh, and Spike? You can stay right where you are until I get back,” he informed, leaving no doubt that it was an order and not a request.

Spike stopped where he had been slowly inching his way closer to the exit. His gaze darted around the room, his eyes wide and frantic as they alighting on various counters and table displays looking for a possible getaway to mysteriously appear. Anything to get him away from the backlash that his foolish plea for help would create.

Bugger! Bugger! Bugger! Sod this!

Spike headed for the door, determined to escape before the men returned. He had made it to the entrance before the training room door opened once more.

“Spike?”

The vampire froze, his hand outstretched as he reached for the knob. “Uh…yeah?”

“I believe I told you to wait,” Giles answered. The watcher crossed his arms in annoyance.

Xander clapped his hands, drawing the attention of the others in the room. “Well, I hate to run but I have to be up early, we’re putting in extra hours at the site all week. I probably won’t be around for a few days,” he explained as he walked to the door.

The others scattered around the room even as the bell above the door jingled from Xander’s exit. Giles moved to stand next to the nervous blond.

“I talked to Xander, Spike. I really don’t appreciate being made to look the fool. If you insist on telling lies and outrageous tales then you’ll need to find somewhere else to tell them. Goodnight.”

“But-”

“I said goodnight, Spike,” Giles repeated forcefully.

The dejected vamp left the store, his shoulders hunched and duster pulled around him tight.

“Naughty, naughty, Spike,” a mocking voice called from the dark alley beside the Magic Box.

“Xander!” Spike jumped back in shock, his whole body trembling like a frightened victim from his past. He could see the irony in the situation even if he wasn’t amused by it in the least. Quirks of fate were only funny when it was happening to other people.

Xander advanced on the trembling vampire, backing him up until he was against the wall in the same alley that Xander had emerged from.

“That’s wasn’t nice, was it, Spike? Telling tales only gets naughty boys spanked,” he leered, his eyes trailing up and down Spike’s body like a physical presence. “I think someone needs to be reminded of a few things, don’t you?”

“B-b-but…work. You have to-”

“I lied,” Xander laughed. “The site is closed for inspections for the next few days. We have plenty of time.” Xander leaned in, his lips grazing along overly-defined cheekbones and back down to the vampire’s neck, giving it a sharp nip.

Spike gasped as blunt teeth latched onto his throat only to find his mouth invaded when Xander shoved his tongue inside. He found his will weakening as Xander began to do that thing that Spike just couldn’t seem to resist. Xander pressed up against him, grinding their throbbing erections together, making both men groan.

Finally breaking away, Xander whispered hoarsely, “Come on, Spike. Time for good little vamps to learn their lessons.”

Spike whimpered as Xander grabbed his arm, leading him down the street. He should be fighting harder to get away, wishing for death instead of allowing the human to manipulate and use him this way.

He should be doing anything other than following meekly along, dreaming of all the creative punishments that would be in store for him for the rest of the night and possibly several of the following days. Then Xander turned to give him a sexy smirk, full of promise and wicked delight, and it was all Spike could do not to come in his jeans like a teenybopper.

Xander may be a wolf in sheep’s clothing, but thankfully the clothing wouldn’t stay on for much longer. Wool always made Spike itch anyway.
