More Xandery-goodness - this time it's really all from the beginning scenes of the episode, because after you're strangled by someone I think you deserve some recovery time. Anyway, I love Consequences because it's all about (in terms of Xander) making the tough decisions and trying to have faith in people.

Aww, this is such a hard episode in general - especially for a Xander fan. I think you're really right about this: Anyway, I love Consequences because it's all about (in terms of Xander) making the tough decisions and trying to have faith in people. I love how determined he looks in these pictures.

While I agree that it was a character defining moment, I actually don't enjoy watching this episode. I think, for me, it's the fact that while Xander is trying his best to convince his friends he can help Faith without bragging about having sex, something Faith blames him for doing when he does try to help her, Buffy shoots him down. I know she was only trying to stop him from getting hurt, but the way she did it...the way it was said.....well, let's just say she would never have said that kind of thing to Willow. And even after Xander is sitting in the library with bruises around his neck, she is fighting to help Faith even though Willow isn't. Again, I know this is probably because she and Faith are both slayers, they went through the experience together, etc.,I get that....what I don't like is that she's willing to help Faith even after she attacked Xander but when she goes after Angel, Buffy's willing to kill her. I just feel really sorry for Xander.

Xander trying to find the good in Faith is just heart hurting, but it's so Xander at this time in his life. Nice work.
