That was heartbreaking. (Of course.) And so well written! Thanks for sharing it.

yeh. at first when i started reading it, i was like, oh no, why is she making the main character a little person in an institution? but then i was sucked in by the imagery and by really feeling for the main character. some of the description about the doll, and the gorse, etc., is just really relaly good.

plus things like: the doctor was new, and he hadn't yet learned that you don't smile at and talk direclty to the patient.
