I actually came across this film when I was searching Netflix for the old PBS series called "An American Family," about the Loud Family. I have never seen it, and I noticed that it is screeening (all 12 episodes) at AFI's Silverdocs (Silver Theatre, Silver Spring, MD), albeit at times when I'm at work.
