Title: Fictional Characters
Author: sppandachan
Rating: G
Character(s)/Pairing(s): Kurama, Reader. KuramaxReader.
Warnings: Reader Insert. Drabble.
Summary: You didn't love them as much as you loved Kurama. You knew that for sure, but loving them felt like you were cheating on Kurama. It's a good thing Kurama is so open about your love for fictional characters.
Notes: Old fanfic is old. I'm gonna be posting a number of some old fanfics before we get anything at least kinda current. This was originally posted on FoS-FF.net HERE.

You were always very open about yourself. From the beginning before the two of you even dated Kurama knew about your fascination with fictional characters. You always assured him that fictional characters were usually better than the actually thing. But somewhere on the road of friendship, love bloomed between the two of you. And even though you love Kurama very much, part of you couldn't give up those fictional characters.

One day the two of you were sitting on the sofa watching one of your favorite series, Kuroshitsuji. You absolutely loved the character designs, and decided on making the outfits one day. You thought about how adorable Ciel was in his outfits and how they were one of the coolest things ever. And then Sebastian came on screen, and you couldn't help, but noticed yourself staring at Sebastian and how elegantly he looked throughout the episode.

"Sebastian is smexy," you said, thinking aloud.

"[Name] are you trying to make me jealous?" Kurama asked. You turned to face Kurama and looked into his emerald eyes.

"I assure you, I love you more than I love Sebastian," you smiled.

"Sometimes that's hard to believe because when you're sleeping you'll mumble his name instead of mine," Kurama said.

"I do not!" you protested, but then secretly thought about what if it was true. Did you mumble his name in your sleep? There was no doubt in your mind, Kurama beat out every single one of those fictional characters, and you felt a bit bad with your affinity towards fictional characters when you had a boyfriend, but there was something about them being fictional that makes them, so alluring that you couldn't help, but love them.

"Relax I was only kidding," Kurama said in a light tone. He wrapped his arm around you and brought your body into his chest. "You don't have to worry I don't mind. I know I have the one up on them."

"And what would that be?" you asked curiously.

"Well for starters I'm real, so they won't be whisking you away from my grasp any time soon," Kurama joked. You laughed and kiss him on the check. Kurama was definitely a good sport about this.

"But honestly what do you see in him?" Kurama asked.

"Well he does look awfully smexy in that suit," you joked.

"So should I start walking around in a suit and tie now too?" Kurama teased back.

"As awesome as that would be, no. I don't want to torture you," you smiled. "But seriously, he reminds me a bit of you."

"How so?" Kurama asked.

"He's a demon; you're a demon. He's good at everything he does; you're good at everything you do. He makes me wonder how he made the Undertaker laugh so hard; you make me wonder how you made Kaitou-kun laugh so hard. Just to name a few," you replied. "But now that I think about it, all fictional guys I like are like you. Sweet, kind considerate, compassionate. That's all you."

"So in other words you were really lucky to find the essence of your fictional guys in real life," Kurama joked.

"I do believe you're right," you laughed.
