This is a 'friends only' journal. My entries are secured after I write them and not viewable to anyone not on my list. If you are an old acquaintance wanting to get access, you can send me a message via email (spottedsparrow-at-hotmail-dot-com). Alternately, you can keep in touch via my website at autumngrey.multiply.com.

hi you don't know me but a friend of yours (skjaere) referred me to you from the st. andrews community. she said you grew up in jakarta which is where i live right now (i took a peek at your userinfo and since you're american, i was wondering if you went to JIS?) that's where i am right now, senior year. anyway, i'm applying to st. andrews in the fall and i was wondering how the city, or town as people have told me, compares to jakarta. i'm wondering if it'll be a massive culture shock or not...anyway thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not at all an old acquaintance, but I was wondering if you'd still add me as a friend - I think we'd get along fabulously.

Your journal looks great and it does seem like we have a lot in common. Unfortunately, i can't add anyone I haven't met because my journal contains personal information and occaisional rantings about people. If a coworker or unfriendly aquaintance, or even just an unfriendly stranger, were to create an account and get access to my friends list, it could mean alot of trouble for me.

One of these days though I'll get around to getting an MSN chat account again, then I'll be able to meet new people better. Thanks for your interest though.

I don't know of any specific places where you can rent a harp, and offhand the only companies i remember in Britain are Pilgrim, Busy Mole, and Ardival. But ardival I think only works with ancient recreation harps.

I just toted around my 22-string wire harp with me the whole year. So my recommendation, if you can't find a local renter, would be to buy a travel harp for your year abroad. I've worked with many different kinds of travel harps, and I've found the Blevins Mezzo 23 to be the best deal for the price. You can either go through www.blevinsharps.com, or there's a shop in Houston (www.folkharp.com) which usually has a large selection of them.

Good luck.
