1. Earlham is pretty great. I like it here. You should come here!

2. If you know there's one place you would definitely go if you got in, do Early Decision if they have it. If they have Early Admissions but not ED, you may as well apply early because you'll know earlier, and you can still change your mind if you get in somewhere better.

3. Put it on the resume, mention it on the application. Colleges like leadership. If they reject you because "omg teh ghey!!!" then you don't want to go there anyway.

4. Sounds good! You don't have to major in biology or pre-med to go to med school, though. It may help with the MCAT, but you could major in basket-weaving and still go to med school later. (Earlham actually does have a weaving major.) Which is to say, major in what you want to major in--if you find you like something else more than you like biology, it won't ruin your career plans.

Also, if you don't already have this book, I recommend you take a look at it.

If I may ask, what are the two colleges you're excited about?

1) UW-Madison, but you know this already.

2) Unsure

3) As the previous poster said, if they're going to reject you based on LGBT activism, you don't want to be there. However, the leadership is a big plus.

4) Good. Biology will get you places, unlike, say, Communications Arts. As for medical school, just so long as you fill up some prerequisites, they'll take you.

Prerequisites include:
Calculus I or II (I forget)
Introductory biology (usually a 2-semester 10-credit sequence)
General chemistry
Analytical chemistry
Organic chemistry

Oh my gosh I replied to this and it must have never gone through Dx

1. I'll put it on my list to look at!
2. I'm planning on doing that with UW Madison
3. This is true. I'm just worried about individuals fucking up D:
4. Yeah - I do love biology a lot, and women's studies fascinates me. Plus it's a good combo for med school!

I'll check that out, thanks!

UW Madison and Oregon State - the latter not as much, but my teacher recommended it and it looks really nice.
