Fedora Summer of Open Hardware and Fun!

Today (at 12:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time), we're launching a sweepstakes for our Fedora Contributors called the Fedora Summer of Open Hardware and Fun! So, is Italy out of the list for the same reasons as France?

Not the same reasons, but yes, Italy was reviewed and the Italian sweepstakes laws made it too troublesome in the view of Red Hat Legal.

I know you're just trying to spite me and everyone else that lives in New York! It's the center of the universe, really! The exclusion of New Yorkers *is* on par with Tasha Yar getting eaten by sentient oil spill thing! :)

NY was excluded not just to spite you, but because the sweepstakes total value was > $5000. I'm not sure why that makes a difference in NY and FL, but RH Legal says it does, so it does.
